Challenge

This particular project faced water intrusion issues at the windows and concrete walls. The challenge facing this project was its relative proximity to the San Francisco Bay. The client wished to resolve the water intrusion issues expeditiously to allow for rental of the property.

Solution

Maximizing Storage Space and the Majestic Views

Blackstone met the clients needs by removing the water intrusion issues at the source. The windows and siding were replaced with a superior product and proper flashing thus mitigating the issue. Water intrusion through the walls was resolved through identifying and resolving the source of the intrusion. The upstairs living area was renovated and prepared for rental.

    State-of-the-art Living Space in San Francisco

    The end result of Blackstone’s repairs was a complete elimination of the water intrusion issue. Blackstone’s superior performance enabled the client to rent out the living space as required. Blackstone worked within the requested schedule and budget to produce an end product that met the client’s needs and requirements.

    After completing a ground up mixed-use project in June of 2016, we encountered several leaks after the first rains. When the general contractor ignored our pleas for help, we reached out to Blackstone. Time was of the essence to prevent further damage to our new building. The Blackstone team responded quickly and efficiently with state-of-the-art testing to identify locations and the damage resulting from the leakage. They gave us a technically detailed written report with multiple suggestions on remedying the issues according to how it best served our situation. The principal, David Tognela, was present throughout the entire process and was always available and easy to reach whenever we had questions. Blackstone is professional and true experts in their field!
